Welcome to this weird website. I'm still not sure why I've made it but when I noticed somehow no one has taken the guitarhero address on neocities to this day I chose to take it myself and do something with it. "Something cool?" Hell no I am not a creative individual at all haha, but I'll try to cook something up.

I also have another website, hackeronie vibez (⌐■ω■), it's more of an experiment, just like this one. Check it out if you're interested.

Nothing else to say (type, rather) for now, if I find a theme for this site, something I think would be cool to blog here, I'll start doing posts, regularly hopefully. And again, with nothing to say for now, I close off this first and hopefully not last post! Good day/night to you and your family, reader.

Credits for the template I used for this page go to @repth. Thank you very much for the awesome template! <3

It's 6pm, I'm pretty tired. I've been browsing webrings all day, it's so fun. I haven't used my computer for anything but browsing neocities/working on this site and nucleus for the past week.

I'm getting kinda addicted, but I think it's a good thing, it's like exploring a vast ocean of information. I've learned a lot since I found out about neocities. Some of the sites out there either replicate the 90s vibes so well or/and are a marvel to see, it's very inspiring.

The first site I explored was melonking's. It's so cool!!! Their guide gave me a huge kickstart on neocities lol. Here it is if you're interested.

Welp, that's all for today folks! ☆~~ヾ(>▽<)ノ。・☆ Good day/night to you and your family, reader.

Thoughts on videogames.

I don't want to make a huge essay on why I think videogames can be a form of art, but when I hear C418's Dry Hands (Minecraft OST) I get goosebumps. The hard ones.

Videogames are (sort of) a movie, but one you can interact with. Of course this depends on what game we're talking about - in a game like "The Walking Dead", developed by Telltale Games, the experience is a lot more cinematic than as per say, playfull. The charm of the game relies on its story, the characters, the world building within it.

Games aren't only art but in my opinion have potential to be the best. Just thinking of the concept of 'interactible art' makes me excited. I think this is a good chance to share some of my favorite games, games that were used as a medium for artists (also games that I like):

  • Yume Nikki (trippy)
  • Hollow Knight (art, music)
  • Rain World (game mechanics, art)
  • Papers, Please (art, storytelling)
  • LSD Simulator (trippy)
  • Katana Zero (my beloved)
  • Untitled Goose Game (art)
  • Milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk (art)
  • Hotline Miami (visual, music, storytelling)
  • Dead Cells (visual)
  • A Short Hike (visual, music)
  • Persona Series (music, mostly)

There's more games (a lot more) but I think these show my argument well enough. This took a little bit to write - I keep re-writing stuff... ( ;´Д`) gotta work on my confidence. Anyways, that's it for today folks! ☆~~ヾ(>▽<)ノ。・☆ I'll try to write more essays, if they can be called that, it's really fun to make them. Hope you enjoyed and good day/night to you and your family, reader! Logging off!!!

Thoughts on the internet.

First things first, happy valentines day! - Of course, if you're reading this in february 14th, which most likely isn't the case. What about writing a short text on the effects of social media on us integrated members of society to celebrate?

I don't wanna sound like a doomer but yeah, I can't help but see only negative aspects on it. I never used social media much, with the exception of youtube, usually I just lurk the corners of the internet, so warning, my opinion is potentially biased - I shouldn't be the one to judge that, but I'll try to stay factual. When I see someone so deeply entranced on a video that was made with low effort by some random person feels so weird, like we are slowly devolving into some dumb big babies with the attention span of a goldfish. It's easy to notice how, for example, most american teens nowadays are so unaware of where they live, I've talked and known a fair share of people from america and it was astonishing how different their knowledge of the world was. Some were older than me and couldn't name a single country in Europe!

Setting that theme aside what bothers me the most on the internet and these social platforms is how us, users, are nothing more than information to them. If you go ahead and bother reading the ToS of a social media like TikTok when creating an account, which I know you don't, just like basically every user of these apps and sites, the amount of information they collect on the user is, at least for me, worrying. Worse even is the fact they can do whatever they want with your information afterwards! What can you do about it? Either use the social app and give away your info, or opt out of the platform, and stop using it.

Something that has happened to me in the past and kinda bothered me: I was browsing amazon for guitar hero controllers (hehe), and after I was done I stopped by twitch and started watching random small streamers. Interestingly, the ads I was getting in the bottom banner were all amazon ads on guitar hero controllers. It was pretty surprising, although something like this makes sense, since twitch is owned by amazon, so it's pretty easy for twitch to recommend me stuff related to what i've searched in amazon in the past. But this is a good example of how your information can be used, it can be used commercially, at the blink of an eye, and it manipulates the user more than you'd think.

I've gone through some of my thoughts on internet, today's post is pretty scrambled (hope it was readable either way), and this is because I literally can't wrap my mind around the internet! In recent times, I've become more aware of the various problems the internet has, and have started opting a lot more for open source alternatives for messaging apps, OS choice(arch btw 💅) and I am a bit more comfortable using the internet now.

Today's post is hella long! I'll log off and leave this here, I think this wizz can share some knowledge far better than I do: Richard Stallman's personal website

PS: AAAAAAH TODAY'S POST IS A MESS, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO READ THE WHOLE THING WITHOUT CRINGING AT MY BAD WRITING (I'll try to work on it...) Anyways, that's it for today folks! ☆~~ヾ(>▽<)ノ。・☆ Hope you enjoyed and good day/night to you and your family, reader.

Why Guitar Hero?

date: 2/22/2023

mood: tired

music: ttfaf - dragonforce

whatever: ┬┴┬┴┤ʘ‿ʘ)╯

Today I feel like doing a very short post, I'm out of ideas to write a bigger, more interesting essay. So why not address the blog's name? It's called Guitar Hero. If anyone knows where the blog's 'mascot' (Ryo Yamada) is from, they get the reference. But the name also comes from the super cool game 'Guitar Hero', yes.

I play Guitar Hero quite often, I suck at it, but it's a ton of fun. The controller I bought for it is slightly broken, the blue key doesn't register half the time, but that doesn't stop my fun, just makes me bang my head against the desk a few times per song!!!! Talking about that, today's music is 'Through The Fire And Flames' by Dragonforce. It's a banger in my opinion.

The Guitar Hero games introduced me to a bunch of really cool songs, why not list a few?

  • Rope - Foo Fighters
  • When The Curtain Falls - Greta Van Fleet
  • No Sleep Til Brooklyn - Beastie Boys
  • No Known Suspects - Synovial
  • HTML Rulez DOOd - The Devil Wears Prada (funny name)

There's more but I think these give a good taste of what to expect to those who haven't played Guitar Hero yet. So yeah, why did I choose Guitar Hero for the blog name? I was playing the game when I decided to make the blog, so I checked neocities, and... no one had taken guitarhero.neocities.org for some reason!!! (I think I wrote this already in the first post haha) So I took it myself and here we are.

Anyways, that's it for today folks! ☆~~ヾ(>▽<)ノ。・☆ Hope you enjoyed and good day/night to you and your family, reader.
